Welcome to Samoa, a pristine adventure paradise in the heart of the South Pacific. It may have taken some doing to get here but that’s part of the adventure, and the reason you’ve arrived ahead of the crowd.
There’s something extraordinary about being first. Something that encourages us to be responsibly, irresponsible as we set the course for those yet to come.
we determine what tourism in Samoa will become. We can opt to preserve a global oasis where the only towers soaring above pristine beaches are lava cliffs forged by Mother Nature – or we can succumb to concrete developments that pave over paradise.
At the Samoan Highland Retreat we strive to preserve paradise and encourage others to join us. We do this by considering the choices we make, and by choosing to support the people who live traditionally and honestly in the bounty of abundance that is Samoa.
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.”
Well off the beaten tourist track, Samoa’s a Polynesian paradise enshrined in the Fa’a Samoan way of life. That it was chosen to host the 19th Season of Survivor speaks to the mystique and magnificence of the islands.
Throughout history, Samoa has wooed many adventurers including Jeff Probst host of Survivor who adds the hidden gem to his list of top ten travel destinations. The islands were also the chosen homeland, and final resting place, of adventure novelist Robert Louis Stevenson, author of the epic “Treasure Island”.
“Not all those who wander are lost.”
And right now, the crew and contestants of Survivor Australia are busy filming and adventuring somewhere on these magnificent islands increasing awareness of the tropical and unspoiled terrain.
From the jewel-toned waters of the South Pacific, to the soaring lava cliffs rising proudly from her bosom Mother Nature’s laid bare a kaleidoscope of splendor for those who seek soft adventure just off the beaten track.
“Wandering re-establishes the original harmony which once existed between man and the universe.”
