Samoa is one of Jeff Probst’s top ten vacation destinations as well as the coveted location for the 19th season of Survivor. No small claim to fame for these pristine islands located midway between Hawaii and Australia in the heart of the South Pacific.

STRICKLAND get together last week.
They came from Texas, New York, NZ, Aussie and of course here in Samoa.
I had no idea that the Facebook page "Stricklands of Samoa" was produced out of Texas by Mele. I always thought it was from NZ....silly me!!!
Such a fascinating and rich family history from the whaling days of their ancestors Geoffrey and Torea through Aitutake Rarotoga all the way up to our Deputy Ambassador of Samoa to the UN.
Where did the original Strickland come from, Scotland or was he Irish??? A whaler???
It has been such a delight to sit and listen to Afamasaga Agnes Rasmussen narrate the history of the Stricklands and the Samoan culture.
Younger Strickland generations, I urge you to "soak-up" these wondrous legacies at every opportunity. ... See MoreSee Less

Family - Aiga - Sisters & Brothers
One thing in being married to a Samoan gal; you slowly learn what true family is and the beauty of the original family home. The freedom, and almost expectation to come and go as you please, is so precious.
Here Filipo, Maria's brother, just popped by being so tired after a long day's activities that he was so free to just flop on a mat at the back and have a needed and refreshing nap.
Afamasaga, came over from NZ and America to just RELAX....where? here the original Lepea homestead.
Maria, Just departed for Canada after many months looking after our property.
Fatima, just up at Ululoloa, drops by all the time to visit her family.
Poni from Aussie will be arriving shortly from cold Ballarat to relax in Samoa's warmth. ... See MoreSee Less
